Discover KEEPERS

KEEPERS is an independent online收藏柜 (cabinet)——a slow-growing collection of contemporary objects selected for their material character, cultural root, and individual story.

We are not a mass-market retailer, nor are we antiquities dealers. We operate somewhere between a collector’s archive, a design gallery, and a reference library for meaningful craftsmanship.

Our collections include wearable objects, sacred and symbolic pieces, works on paper, crafted utensils, and singular one-of-one finds. Every object we present has been documented with care—its origin, maker, material, technique, and symbolism recorded and made accessible.

Our goal is simple: to offer objects that are worth understanding, worth holding, and worth keeping—for customers around the world who value depth over decoration.

Our Curation Framework

Behind every object on KEEPERS lies a set of four questions. We call this the Object Character System™.

  • Origin – Where does it come from? (Place, region, cultural context)

  • Craft – How was it made? (Material, technique, handwork)

  • Character – What makes this one particular? (Individual variation, imperfection, uniqueness)

  • Meaning – Why has it been kept? (Symbolism, ritual use, cultural significance)

We do not treat culture as spectacle. We approach every tradition with respect, and we present each object with clarity—so that you, the collector, can form your own understanding before you decide to collect.

Our Collections

Our archive is organised into four broad families, each with its own identity:

  • Wearable Objects – Bracelets, necklaces, pendants, amulets, and textile accessories made to live with the body.

  • Sacred & Symbolic Objects – Hand-painted Buddhist cards, ritual pieces, protective amulets, and objects shaped by belief and symbolic tradition.

  • Works on Paper – Thangka paintings, block prints, traditional drawings, manuscripts, and paper-based craft.

  • Singular Objects – One-of-one pieces that are unlikely to appear twice—due to natural material variation, irreplaceable stock, or the maker’s individual hand.

We also feature a rotating selection of Crafted Objects—wood, metal, ceramic, and woven pieces that represent living craft traditions.

Our Approach to Selection

We do not buy in bulk. Every piece on KEEPERS is selected individually, often directly from independent artisans, small workshops, or trusted regional sources.

We value the small details that make each object distinct. Natural pigments may vary in tone. Hand-drawn outlines may show slight irregularities. Stone and wood surfaces may carry natural fissures or grain patterns. These are not flaws; they are the visible traces of material truth and human touch.

We aim to offer objects that balance cultural integrity, material quality, thoughtful craftsmanship, and contemporary relevance—so that each piece can live comfortably in a modern space while carrying its own history.

Designed for Collectors, Not Just Shoppers

KEEPERS was created for people who read object descriptions, who notice material behaviour, and who prefer one considered purchase over ten impulsive ones.

Our objects can be worn, displayed, gifted, or simply kept in a drawer and taken out occasionally—because some things do not need to be used every day to be valuable. They only need to be known.

We believe that cultural-inspired collecting should be approached with curiosity, not appropriation; with documentation, not decoration; and with patience, not haste.

KEEPERS operates as a cross-border e-commerce archive and serves customers in international markets, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and European countries.

Orders are placed directly through our online store. After an order is received, we prepare each object for shipment with careful packaging and provide order tracking information.

Shipping availability, delivery times, and costs vary depending on the destination and the method selected at checkout. For fragile or high-value objects, we use insured shipping.

Our Values

Quality
We pay close attention to material integrity, craftsmanship, object condition, and archival documentation. Every object on our site meets our standard for structural soundness and visual character.

Authenticity
We describe every object clearly and accurately—including natural variations, handmade traces, and cultural context—so you can make an informed collecting decision.

Respect
Our curation is inspired by Himalayan, Tibetan, South Asian, and other traditional craft cultures. We approach these influences with deep respect, and we never present cultural objects as exotic curiosities.

Curatorial Honesty
We do not overstate rarity or invent symbolic meanings. If we do not know something, we say so. If we have a personal note about why we selected an object, we share it in the Collector’s Note on each product page.

Archival Integrity
Even after an object is sold, we do not delete it. It moves into our Archive—a public record of objects that have passed through our collection. Over time, this record grows into a meaningful history, both for us and for our returning collectors.
